Three Irish riders are set to line out tomorrow in the first round of the Saint Tropez leg of the Global Champions League.

Allen partners Gin Chin van het Lindenhof for Valkenswaard United who will also be represented by Italian Alberto Zorzi (Fair Light van’t Heike), renewing a partnership which goes back to the first year of the competition in 2016 when Valkenswaard were crowned inaugural champions. They stand second in the current season table behind London Knights.

Cian O’Connor brings Exelero 2 into action for the New York Empire team, lining out alongside Scott Brash on Hello Mr President. The team have struggled to make and impact in the league so far and currently lie 15th.

The Miami Celtics line-up consists of Shane Breen on Ipswich van de Wolfsakker and Jessica Springsteen on RMF Swinny du Parc.

Miami have the plum last draw of the 19 teams taking part so will know exactly what’s needed to top the standings ahead of the second round on Saturday. Miami won the opening leg in Mexico, but have since dropped to ninth in the standings.

Cameron Hanley, who is also a member of the Miami squad, will jump as an individual rider with Eis Isaura.
