Ireland’s Bertram Allen and Denis Lynch will compete at the Longines Global Champions Tour meeting in Vienna this week in what is the penultimate round in the series.

Allen lies in fourth place in the LGCT rankings, which are headed by Sweden’s Rolf-Goran Bengtsson, while Lynch ranks fifteenth of the eighty-four riders who have earned points on the Tour to date.

The Vienna meeting will also host the second-last leg of the Global Champions League, in which Bertram Allen’s team Valkenswaard United hold top spot, just ahead of Antwerp Diamonds, with Monaco Aces in touch in third place.

The line up for the team event has yet to be confirmed but it seems likely that Allen and British rider John Whitaker will be the two members of the squad who will ride for Valkenswaard in this round.
