Paul O’Shea (left) has shared victory with Britain’s Matthew Sampson in Sunday’s Friends of the Meadows Rolex Grand Prix on the concluding day of the Continental meeting at Spruce Meadows in Canada.
The Irish rider set the jump off target of 38.00 seconds on Imerald van’t Voorhof and only Sampson, riding Ebolensky, managed to catch him, stopping the clock in precisely the same time for a share of the first prize.
It was the first time in the history of Spruce Meadows that a 5* Grand Prix had resulted in a tie.
