Ireland’s Darragh Kennny scooped Friday’s Tennor Grand Prix qualifier on Belo Horizonte at the five-star meeting in Valkenswaard, Netherlands. “I was very happy with how the horse jumped today,” he said after his time of 67.79 had toppled France’s Kevin Staut and Tolede de Mescam Harcour off top spot. Germany’s Marcus Ehning took third on Misanto Pret A Tout. Denis Lynch added to the Irish presence in the top ten with Cristello, taking seventh place in a time of 74.35.

In the day’s two-phase class Ireland’s Shane Breen claimed third on Compelling Z, with victory going to Britain’s Scott Brash on Hello Mr President. Lynch took fifth in this event with Rublens LS La Silla.
