Ireland’s Darragh Kenny has moved into the world’s top twenty riders list in the latest Longines rankings issued today by world governing body FEI.

Kenny has moved up from 23rd last month to 17th, making him the highest-ranked Irish rider after Shane Sweetnam who has dipped one place to 31st.

Bertram Allen has also exited the top thirty, ranking 34th in the latest figures, while Denis Lynch drops from 33rd to 40th.

Making an upward move of four places is Shane Breen in 42nd, as Daniel Coyle (44th), Conor Swail (45th) and Mark McAuley (46th) remain in the top fifty with Paul O’Shea on the fringe in 51st.

Switzerland’s Steve Guerdat continues to hold the number one position, with Bertram Allen staying at the top of the U25 list on which Daniel Coyle retains third place.
