All Irish eventing horses passed Sunday’s inspection at the World Equestrian Games as the rain fell at Tryon International Equestrian Center in North Carolina but there were anxious moments as both Sam Watson’s Horseware Ardagh Highlight, and Horseware Stellor Rebound, the mount of Sarah Ennis, had to be represented.

Both were subsequently give the green light. Ennis is in the individual bronze medal position ahead of today’s show jumping while the Irish team occupy the silver medal slot.

Dunrath Eclipse, Rioghan Rua and Mr Chunky all came through the inspection.

Apart from being in medal contention, Ireland are in with an excellent chance of nabbing one of the six qualifying places for Tokyo 2020 that come with tomorrow’s contest.
