Ireland’s new show jumping manager Rodrigo Pessoa today unveiled his squads for a busy weekend of Nations’ Cup jumping at three different venues.
Though featuring some familiar names, Pessoa appears to be continuing with his policy of introducing a few less well-known Irish combinations at this high level of team competition, to assess potential.
St. Gallen in Switzerland is the biggest of the Nations Cups with a Division One five-star ranking, while Langley in Canada and Uggerhalne in Denmark are three-star events.
None of the competitions is included in Ireland’s quest for 2017 FEI Nations Cup points.
Pessoa will be Chef d’Equipe at St. Gallen, while Michael Blake takes charge at Langley, with Taylor Vard overseeing the team at Uggerhalne.
St. Gallen and Langley take place on Friday, with Uggerhalne scheduled for Saturday afternoon. All three will be available on livestream from FEItv on subscription, and updates will be posted on We Live Horse throughout the weekend.
