Bertram Allen has climbed from 20th position up to 14th in the latest Longines FEI World Rankings published today.

Ireland’s highest ranked rider has been busy racking up points in the past month with Quiet Easy, Molly Malone, Hector van d’Abdijhoeve and Izzy By Picobello at the 5-star meetings in both ‘s-Hertogenbosch and Paris.

Conor Swail is now the second-highest Irish rider in the standings, entering the top 30 at number 29, having been 33rd last month.

Cian O’Connor remains in 34th position, but Denis Lynch drops to 39th, down seven places.

Shane Sweetnam moves up to 42nd from 45th and two Irish riders are in a three way share of 45th – Billy Twomey, who was 46th last month, and Darragh Kenny who drops from 39th.

Daniel Coyle moves closer to to the world’s top 50 after a successful conclusion to the Winter Equestrian Festival at the weekend. The Derry rider was presented with the Hermes Talented Young Rider for his performances in FEI classes over the 12 weeks of the WEF. He is now in 58th position, an upward move of 13 places.

Also inside the top 100 are Richie Moloney at 65th from 51st last month and Kevin Babington, who moves up a place to 81st.

The same riders as last month feature in the top 10 of the standings with some positional changes, the most significant of which is American McLain Ward’s move to the top from 4th last month, following his win in Saturday’s World Cup Final in Omaha.

US riders now occupy the top two positions, with Kent Farrington retaining second place. Germany continue to have four riders in the top 10.
