Ireland’s Bertram Allen and Dino W topped the lot in this evening’s 1m50 GEZE GmbH Winning Round contest at the German Masters meeting in Stuttgart.

In a fifteen-way jump-off in which eight went clear, times were tight at the top of the leaderboard but no one managed to break the 41-second barrier until the Irish pairing came home in 40.18, which was not bettered by their remaining few rivals.

Second place went to Colombian Carlos Enrique Lopez Lizarazo on Cuplandra in 41.01, with Germany’s Philip Rupine taking third on Clinta in 41.12.

Tomorrow Allen tackles the World Cup contest with Hector van d’Abdijhoeve, with Ireland also represented by Cian O’Connor and Good Luck as well as Shane Breen and Golden Hawk.
