Darragh Kenny came out on top after a twelve-way jump-off in this afternoon’s Brickenden Trophy at the four-star World Cup meeting in Toronto.

The Irish rider partnered Charly Brown to victory, finishing almost a second ahead of American Jessica Springsteen on Tiger Lily.

Last night’s World Cup class victor McLain Ward finished third, the US rider this time partnering his Tuesday Welcome Stakes winner Malou, the pairing just marginally behind Springsteen’s time.

Canada’s Vanessa Mannix was the only other rider to score  a jump-off clear, getting Winslow High home safely to take fourth place.

Mike Dunne
