Olympic finalist SFN Zenith N.O.P. has been sold at auction this afternoon for €850,000 by Netherlands-based BVA Auctions. The horse jumped two faultless rounds under Jeroen Dubbledam in the Individual Final in Rio but missed the jump-off after being 0.02 seconds outside the time allowed.
Previously under Dubbledam, SFN Zenith N.O.P. had won Team and Individual Gold in the World Equestrian Games in Caen in 2014, as well as Team Gold at the Nations Cup Final in Barcelona the same year. The pairing followed up with Team and Individual Gold in the European Championships in Aachen last year.
The new owner has not yet been named.
Other SFN (Showjumping Fund of the Netherlands) horses sold at the online auction today included Wout-Jan van der Schans’ Olympic second-reserve Aquila SFN, with bidding reaching €750,000.
